Redefining My Work Rhythm with Time Blocking
I used to treat my work week like a free-for-all: client calls here, marketing tasks there, admin stuff somehow squeezed in wherever it fit. And honestly? I spent a lot of time feeling frazzled, forgetting things, and wondering where the hours went.
That started to change when I used the Ideal Work Week tool. It made me realize that I could actually design my week to match the way I work best — instead of reacting to every request or idea that popped up.
Now, things look a lot different.
Mondays are for work admin — invoicing, contracts, and clearing out all the small but necessary tasks that pile up.
Tuesdays are my marketing days — writing posts, checking in on email sequences, sharing updates in the Consultant Network.
Thursdays and Fridays are reserved for coaching calls. I love this block because I know I can give my full attention to the people I work with, without worrying about other things popping up.
It feels… calmer. More intentional. And funnily enough, I actually get more done because I’ve stopped juggling everything all the time.
Time blocking has also helped me see where I want to grow: for example, spending focused blocks on freelancer training & support content or thinking about ways to improve my executive coaching sessions. Even those small, dedicated periods make a huge difference in staying consistent.
It’s still a work in progress — sometimes meetings spill over, or life throws a curveball. But having a rhythm I control makes it way easier to stay on track, and way less likely that I’ll feel like I’m spinning in circles.
Curious: Have you tried time blocking or designing your week intentionally? How has it changed your workflow — or your sanity?
